written by 8 playwrights the evening before the event.
directed by 8 directors from across the region.

auditions: May 20th, 4p-6p & May 21st 6p-8p.
Performance June 9th.

Play In A Day is a 24hr complete theatrical experience. From conception to completion, the entire process takes less than a day.

cast will depend solely on the talent auditioning.

for auditions: Please come prepared to read cold from selected scenes. We encourage adult actors (18 and over) of both genders and all backgrounds, ages and body types to audition. (Note: due to the nature of the competition, some material may not be suitable for all audiences)

AUDITIONS: FOOTLOOSE, Salem Community Theatre, May 20, 21


Audition notice

Audition dates have been set for Salem Community Theatre’s production of “FOOTLOOSE” on Sunday and Monday, May 20 and 21, 2012.

The director, Nicole Paolozzi, music director, Gary Kekel and choreographer will be looking for a diverse cast of youth and adults, approximately ages 16-65 for various roles large and small, to stage the familiar story of a rebelious youth in an extremely conservative small mid-western town.

Besides reading from the script, come prepared to sing (bring either sheet music or a CD track) and, of course, dance (bring your dancin’shoes!).

Rehearsals will commence in early June, with show dates of August 3rd thru 12th.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Original Score, as well as 9 Drama Desk Awards, on its Broadway premiere in 1986.

Performances are May 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 14 and is a Main Stage Production. Friday & Saturday performances are at 7:30, Sunday performances at 2:30.

Pre-show dinner at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 for $25 per person, catered by The Fifth Season. Call for more information.
